1. Acceptance

By using Sidekar (the CLI tool, Chrome extension, or website), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software.

2. License

Sidekar is open-source under the MIT License. Source is available at github.com/kilospark/sidekar. You are free to use, modify, and redistribute under those terms; portions derived from other projects remain under their upstream licenses (see CREDITS.md in the source repository).

Professional support is offered separately on an honor-system basis:

• Personal use is free.
• Professional use (use in the course of paid work) is supported by a Professional subscription ($9/month, honor system). If your company pays you to write code and you use Sidekar in that work, we ask that you subscribe. This is a request, not a license restriction — the MIT license governs your rights to the software.

3. Chrome Extension

The Chrome extension is provided to bridge your local Sidekar CLI with your browser. It operates through a local Sidekar bridge on your machine. You are responsible for securing access to your machine, because anyone with local access may also be able to use local automation surfaces available on that machine.

4. No Warranty

Sidekar is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Use at your own risk.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kilo Spark shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Sidekar, including but not limited to data loss, system damage, or actions taken by AI agents using the tool.

6. AI Agent Responsibility

Sidekar automates browser and desktop interactions on behalf of AI agents. You are responsible for supervising agent behavior and the actions they take through Sidekar. We are not liable for unintended actions performed by agents using the tool.

7. Updates

The sidekar update command checks GitHub Releases for new versions. Updates are optional and must be explicitly initiated by you.

8. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be noted on this page with an updated date.
